Sarisher Mann

The Sustainable Alpine Tourism Initiative (SATI) was founded in 2018 by Cambridge University sustainability leadership research alumni and sustainable finance expert, Sarisher Mann. SATI connects mountain sustainability pioneers across tourism, infrastructure, the outdoor industry, policy makers, researchers and community leaders.

Sarisher has been passionate about mountain environments all her life. As a sustainability leader, enthusiastic hiker and keen skier, Sarisher is driven by a mission to create a new solutions driven narrative about climate action and adaptation in mountain contexts.

This summer, Sarisher arranged the #SATI2023 multi-day modular Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) Trek across the Alps, that brought together over 30 “green mountain pioneers” across expert-led workshops and experiential outdoor discussions to collaborate on progressive sustainability solutions. Sarisher is also producing a new documentary film directed by sustainability filmmaker, Michael Shaw. The film which launches in December 2023 showcases solutions through the lens of innovators and experts across the Alps, and is supported by Mountain Research Initiative (MRI) and Zell am See Kaprun KEM & Tourism Board.
