Mountain Trade Network (MTN) is the organiser of the London Snow Show 2025 following the acquisition of the show brand and assets from Raccoon Events.

MTN was created as a network for all individuals and organisations working in the mountain travel and sports industry globally. Our successful B2B events LISTEX (London International Snowsports Trade Exchange) and LISTEX Luxury connects hundreds of resorts, hotels, tour operators, brands, retailers, ski schools and many more at our annual industry networking events.

MTN also conducts and publishes industry leading research and consumer surveys to better understand the UK snowsports market, for the benefit of everyone in the industry. MTN will be bringing this deep market insight to the London Snow Show, to ensure the event serves the needs of both visitors and exhibitors.

MTN is a small team of mountain industry enthusiasts and professionals, committed to providing the best live event experiences for the snowsports industry.

James Gambrill: Founder

James learnt to ski at the age of 9, and has never looked back! After seasons in the French and Australian Alps, James returned to the UK working as a boot fitter in London, followed by running divisions for one of the UK’s largest tour operators, before moving into marketing with a representation company whose clients included Alpine resorts and regions, tour operators, retailers and Olympians. During this time James devised and ran stands for multiple clients at the then London Ski and Snowboard Show. James launched LISTEX in 2012 as a B2B event to run prior to the London Snow Show, allowing Show exhibitors to focus fully on visitors whilst at the show. James co-founded MTN in 2019 to provide a year round networking platform for the mountain industry. In 2021 James became COO of the Ski Club of Great Britain, the UK’s largest and oldest Ski Club founded in 1903 and currently serving 16,000 members.

James has personally attended over 30 London Snow Shows and run over 50 stands!

Babsi Lapwood-Gambrill: CEO Mountain Trade Network

Born in the Bavarian Alps, Babis learnt to ski and snowboard as a child at her local village mountain! After moving to the UK in 2000 Babsi pursued a corporate career before co-founding MTN in 2019 and becoming COO in 2021 and CEO in 2024. Since then, Babsi has doubled the size of LISTEX, launched LISTEX Luxury and grown MTN to over 1000 members. Babsi brings extensive event management experience to the show, along with unrivalled connections throughout the snowsports industry.

MTN can count on a wider team of professionals from throughout the mountain industry across PR, operations, design, marketing and much more. All of our team are veterans of many previous Snow Shows, bringing deep insight and expertise to every aspect of the Show.
