My name is Martin and I’m a passionate snowboarder based in Courchevel, France. I spend my winters exploring the endless terrain of The Three Valleys on my splitboard, and in the summers I keep myself busy in the mountains while I wait for it to start snowing.
I got into snowboarding after my first school ski trip to Courmayer. Something clicked for me then and I knew I wanted to be working in the industry. After a winter training as an instructor in Whistler Blackcomb, I made my way to France and have spent the last 8 years honing my snowboarding. The Three Valleys has everything I need locally with access to piste, park, off-piste & split-boarding with endless interesting and challenging terrain.
I’m currently a Team Rider for Pathron Snowboards (since 2012) and a brand ambassador for Oneskee and Snow Shepherd Gloves. Along with that, I’m pursuing my BASI snowboard instructor qualification, to be completed winter 2021. I also co-created Climb it for Climate, a ski touring & split boarding event to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on the industry. Using the great outdoors to bring community together, while creating a space to learn about how we can better protect the mountains we enjoy.
My aim over the next 20 years is to contribute positively to the growth and evolution of the industry and continue showcasing the freedom snowboarding brings us.
