Jane started racing at Folkestone Ski Club, skied for the British Children’s ski team, went to the World Schools Ski Championships twice with ESSKIA, moving on to the English Alpine Squad where she competed in FIS races across Europe, the US and Canada. She experienced the thriving University Ski Racing circuit including BUSC, Captaining Loughborough Ski Team. Recently, after becoming Chair of Folkestone Ski Club, she has come out of retirement to race alongside her son, delighted to find the LSERSA dry slope league thriving still, (and shocked at how much a team dual slalom brings out her competitiveness!)
She brings 20+ years of Commercial experience from the Business sector, including Sustainability, Carbon Management and ESG Impact reporting, and is passionate about reducing the negative impacts of Snowsports in order to protect the environment and nature. “As a sport that has so much to lose from the effects of climate change, it’s essential that we slash the collective impacts we have by participating in the sport, and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with SnowSport England to make this happen”.
