Irakli Burtchuladze is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in management, finance, and economic development. As the Director of MTA, he oversees the operations of Georgia’s premier mountain and ski resorts, including Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi, and Mestia.
With a strong educational background from the International University of the Black Sea and Boston University, Burtchuladze has honed his skills through various roles in the public and private sectors. His experience includes project management, grant raising, pension reform, and financial regulation.
Since becoming Director of M.T.A. LLC in 2022, Irakli Burtchuladze has led numerous transformative initiatives for Georgia’s mountain resorts. His leadership was pivotal in making Georgia a host country for the Freeride World Tour, with Mestia becoming the home of Freeride. His successful cooperation with FIS led Georgian ski resorts to become annual hosts of the World Championships. Alongside these events, Irakli spearheaded key infrastructural projects, enhancing resort facilities and operations. His work continues to strengthen Georgia’s position on the global winter sports stage.
