Dave Ryding has carved a unique path to the top table that started on a dry slope in Pendle, Lancashire.
The ‘Rocket’ has won three medals on the World Cup circuit – most recently bronze in Adelboden in January 2021- and placed in the world’s top 15 for the last five years.
In PyeongChang, Ryding secured the best alpine finish by a British skier in 30 years when he placed ninth.
Ahead of a fourth Olympics, Ryding started training with youngsters Billy Major and Laurie Taylor in a reflection of the legacy he has created in British skiing.
