Charlotte Bankes

Originally from Hemel Hempstead, Charlotte moved out to the southern Alps of France with her family when she was four years old and grew up in the mountains doing a lot of sport, skiing, snowboard as well as sailing in the local clubs.

Charlotte started racing internationally in snowboarding for France when she was 15 and moved onto the World Cup circuit aged 18, attending the Olympics in Sochi and Pyoenchang where she finished 7th.
In November 2018, she decided to switch to compete for Great Britain and has been part of the GB Snowsport World Cup squad since then. Through a lot of hard work, she’s now become a force to be reckoned with on the World Cup circuit. Charlotte became snow cross World Champion in 2021 in Idrefjäll, Sweden and won Crystal Globe 2 seasons in a row, 2021-22 and 2022-23. She also represented GB at the Olympics in Beijing and became 2023 Team Event World Champion in Bakuriani with Huw Nightingale.
