Billy grew up in Southampton where he learnt to snowboard on the dryslope in 2005. When he was 16 he did his first season in Morzine.
Billy won his first British Big Air Championship in 2009 & in 2013 he took 3rd place in the Sierra Nevada FIS World Cup. This meant he was placed 2nd on the World Ranking List at the end of the 2013 season, which provided a great set up for his podium potential at the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014, where he finished in 10th.
In December 2011, Billy landed the world’s first triple rodeo flip.
In April 2015, Billy made history again by becoming the world’s first rider to land a 1800 quadruple cork.
Billy had a successful 2016 season, with 3 podiums: a bronze medal for Big Air in the X Games in Norway, 3rd in slopestyle at the World Cup in Czech Republic & 1st in the Spring Battle filming competition held in the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, Austria. Outside of snowboarding, Billy is into skateboarding, gymnastics, pingpong & motocross.
