Saturday 3pm
Repair & Circularity With Katy, Beccy & Gav
Repair isn’t just about fixing a broken zip. It’s a quiet rebellion against a system built on replacement. This session looks at circularity as a mindset
and a movement. What it means to keep materials, skills, and value in a community instead of into landfill. Katy and Beccy bring skills and the story of
DIY repair. Gav brings the lived reality of running a community repair space. What people bring in, why they bring it, and what repairing together does
beyond just the garment. Come for a bigger-picture look at circularity as something we build collectively, not something we buy into.
Saturday 4pm
Q&A ReAction Collective. What is Collective Action? With Gav, Re-Action Collective.
An open Q&A on what collective action actually looks like in practice, not in
theory. Bring your questions about how Re-Action Collective’s work got built from very little. What’s worked, what hasn’t, and how you could get involved wherever you are.
Sunday 10.30am
The Lifecycle of Clothing: Designing for Repair With Alice, Beccy & Gav
A conversation about what happens to clothing before it’s made, and after we’re done with it. Alice and Becky, both designers, look at how gear could
be built differently from the start, designed to be repaired rather than replaced. Gav, who sees the reality of what actually gets binned, worn out, or
brought in for fixing at One Tree, brings the on-the-ground view of where the current system fails. Together, they’ll get into what’s broken about how
clothing is made and used, and what we can actually do, as designers, makers, and wearers,to change that cycle.
Sunday 11.30
UN [ PARA ] LD Adaptive Alpine Clothing Workshop
What if we started with lived experience? Our Adaptive Alpine Clothing Workshop brings disabled people and adaptive athletes together with designers, makers and industry to explore the real clothing challenges and barriers experienced in alpine environments.
We’ll centre lived experience: identifying what doesn’t work, sharing the adaptations already happening and bringing skills, ideas and existing clothing to
the table to explore practical solutions together. This isn’t about designing for disabled people.
It’s about designing together ā turning lived experience into shared knowledge, adaptations and ideas that can help make the mountains more accessible to
more people.
Sunday 3pm
Stitch ānā hike – Beccy
Lace up, not just for the walk. We’ll start with a short stroll around the venue to get the ideas flowing, then settle in for a hands-on making session back at
base. Beccy’s bringing everything you need to pick up some new sewing skills, and you’ll walk away with your own artistic patch, stitched by you, for
whatever piece of kit needs a bit of character.
Sunday 3.30pm
Q&A ReAction Collective – Citizen Friday, with Gav.
An open Q&A on Citizen Friday – the weekly ritual of sharing, repairing and getting outside that’s spread almost entirely by word of mouth. What it is, how it started, and how to bring it to your own community.Content here
