Skimo is mountain endurance racing on skis. Athletes climb using removable skins, tackle steeper sections on foot with their skis carried on their backpacks, transition quickly and race downhill across technical mountain terrain.

Races demand endurance, speed, efficient transitions and strong skiing skills as athletes repeatedly switch between climbing and descending. Courses vary in distance and elevation, testing athletes across changing terrain and mountain conditions.
