Written by the passionate, read by the dedicated
Fall Line Skiing has been in print since 1991, and in that time it has earned its place in UK ski culture as the real skier’s magazine. You’ll find it in newsagents or on your doormat by subscription, packed with the kind of stories and photography that keep the ski-obsessed fed between trips. Last year, we printed our 200th issue. Not bad going.
Our team is made up of dedicated skiers. Editor and publisher Nicola has been writing about skiing all her adult life. She grew up in a ski family, the passion never left her, and she now lives full time in the Alps, keeping her close to the action.
Our gear coverage is led by Al Morgan, a respected ski journalist with an encyclopaedic knowledge of skis, boots, clothing and pretty much any ski gadget worth having. If you need to know which ski to buy, Al’s your man. If you can’t find him, pick up our annual Gear Guide instead.
Fall Line was born just as freeride and ski touring were starting to make waves, so it’s only right that we have a Backcountry Editor. That’s Andy Townsend. Based in the Scottish Highlands, Andy is an IFMGA ski guide with a nose for a good story and a standing appetite for adventure.
Behind them is a roster of contributors who are just as ski-obsessed. They regularly share their stories, experiences and travels, inspiring our readers to explore somewhere new, or return to familiar resorts with a fresh eye on what’s possible.
