Charlie Guest

Alpine World Cup star and two-time Olympian Charlie Guest made history in 2019, when she became the first British skier to win a race in the Alpine European Cup. With an 11-year careerĀ on the World Cup circuit, Charlie has been a trailblazing force in British ski racing.
In 2014, Charlie’s life was changed through a crash in training. Only six weeks later, Charlie was back on the snow and within 18 months of injury secured a victory in the ladies’ slalom at the 2016 British Championships. Charlie’s determination extends beyond her ski racing. Inspired by her recovery, Charlie began a degree in Psychology at the University of Aberdeen, exploring the connection between mental and physical health. In a widely supported 2024 open letter to the FIS, Charlie scrutinised the differences in broadcast coverage for male and female athletes at the World Junior Championships.
Charlie retired from the international ski race circuit in March 2024, but her legacy on and off the mountain will certainly inspire generations of British skiers for years to come.
