Alex Jeynes

Alex Jeynes is a Scottish outdoor sports photographer and filmmaker who has spent over a decade chasing winters around the world.

He grew up skiing in Scotland, spending as much time as possible in the mountains before heading overseas to live and work in them. From ski instructing in Canada and guiding in Japan to travelling across Europe as a photographer, skiing has taken Alex to incredible places and shaped both his career and how he sees the outdoors.

Photography grew naturally from that lifestyle. What started as a way of documenting the people and places around him has developed into a career working across skiing, surfing, biking and mountain culture, with his work featured in mainstream international publications.

After years of looking further afield for adventure, Alex has found himself coming full circle. Now based back in Scotland, he is increasingly interested in what is right on his doorstep. From the weather, landscape, people and unpredictable conditions that make Scottish adventures what they are.

For Alex, it’s about seeing Scotland with fresh eyes and proving that adventure doesn’t always have to start with long-haul travel or sprawling resorts in the alps.
