Scott Hargrave is the owner of The Skiers Lounge in West Sussex and has spent more than 15 years immersed in the hands-on side of skiing — servicing, repairing, tuning, and solving the equipment problems that can make or break a day on the mountain. His experience in sports hardware and servicing stretches back more than 40 years. Scott originally founded the award-winning ski retailer Edge & Wax before returning to the workshop-led side of the industry and developing what became The Skiers Lounge.
Today, he works with skiers of all levels, helping them get more from their equipment through better setup, servicing, boot fitting and practical advice. His workshop experience covers base repairs, edge preparation, waxing, binding fitting and testing. Scott particularly enjoys stripping away the jargon. Ski servicing can sound complicated, but much of it comes down to understanding a few key principles, using the right tools and knowing what actually makes a difference on snow.
