M.T.A. Mountain Resorts of Georgia: Way to Unexperienced Emotions
Georgia, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, is a land of adventure, ancient culture, wine, and warm hospitality. Yet its greatest treasure is the snow-covered Caucasus Mountains, stretching 1,200 km and covering 60% of the country. Here, skiing is not only about breathtaking peaks but also unforgettable experiences.
The Mountain Trails Agency (MTA) manages and develops Georgia’s four ski resorts: Gudauri, Bakuriani, Mestia, and Goderdzi. Continuous upgrades have brought Gudauri and Bakuriani to international standards, while Mestia and Goderdzi are emerging as some of the most exciting resorts in the region. With modern slopes and high-speed lifts, visitors can enjoy skiing and snowboarding from December to April.
Since 2023, MTA has hosted three annual World Cup events under the International Ski Federation (FIS), in partnership with the Georgian Ski Federation (GSF), featuring freestyle ski, ski cross, and snowboard cross.
From 2024 onwards, Mestia’s Mount Tetnuldi annually hosts the Freeride World Tour Georgia Pro, placing Georgia among the six exclusive countries that welcome this global freeride event.
