Ski holidays are for everyone, whether you like pizza on the piste or fondue by the fire. Bar time, spa time or snowy adventure time. And if you’ve never done it before, this is your chance to try something new and spend quality time having fun with family and friends – all while being surrounded by fresh flakes and beautiful mountain views.
We’ve been sharing our love of skiing and taking people to the slopes for over 40 years. So if you’re thinking about your first trip or your fiftieth, we know a thing or two about planning the perfect winter holiday.
Not sure if skiing or snowboarding’s for you?
You might be thinking that you won’t be any good at it, or that it’s too expensive or dangerous. But skiing and boarding are all about going at your own pace, the odd fall and getting back up again, and building your confidence with the help of qualified instructors.
There are loads of resorts that are amazing for beginners – from budget-friendly places in Bulgaria and Andorra, to winter wonderlands in Finland and under-the-radar villages in famous ski areas in France, Austria and Italy.
Get a head start by watching videos and reading blogs about winter holidays. Our Learn to Ski and Board series on YouTube and our Ski-Buzz blog are packed with info on everything from the best resorts and après-ski, to tips on what to pack and staying safe – you’ll soon see that skiing’s not as intimidating as you might have imagined.
You can even take lessons at an indoor slope in the UK to see if you like it and learn some of the basic skills before you book a holiday.
And then get hyped for your trip by scrolling through photos and videos of other peoples’ adventures on Facebook and Instagram, or watching the pros in action at ski competitions on TV.
Sharing our passion with the ski community
We love to support the wider ski community too, so we’ve partnered with GB Snowsport to follow the athletes on the road to the 2022 Winter Olympics and beyond. Look out for stories about their training and competitions on our Facebook and Instagram.
We also work closely with our partner charity, Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK), to help enable everyone to take part in winter sports and fall in love with the mountain, regardless or disability, injury or experience.
